Tips to be Mindful NOW

Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which one can develop through the practice of meditation and through other training. Below are tips to be mindful NOW present moment:

  1. Breathe in, Breathe out -feel the flow of the breath
  2. Be aware of every daily activity (driving, texting, cleaning etc).
  3. Pay attention to all your senses- For example notice the taste, texture of food.
  4. Go outdoors – Walk around in nature.
  5. Empty the mind- Take a few moments to be still.
  6. Forgive yourself for every negative thought
  7. As soon as your mind wonders bring it back to your breath.
  8. Be grateful- Say thank you to nature, people things and to yourself.
  9. Practice non-judgemental listening.
  10. Go easy on yourself-with time- you will see the progress.

Remember we are all human, just focus on your breath on each moment.
